PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Traveling to wild Alaska doesn't have to be an uncomfortable trip - that is if you stay at the Springhill Suites by Marriott in Anchorage. Sitting alongside University Lake, with an amazing view of the snow capped ridges around Flattop Mountain.

The unique climate of Alaska required a larger public space with warmer, textured fabrics to help fight off the chills of the extremely cold winters. The lobby's contemporary interior design, provided by Johnson Braund, is highlighted by copper mesh drapery, a modern fireplace, custom carpet, terrazzo tile floors and specialty lighting provide a fresh vibrant environment during long dark winter months.

The unique interior touches don't stop there. From the reminders of nature within the lobby, display cases for local art and history, to the tasty decor of the flexible food service area, it all adds up to a one-of-a-kind hotel. The custom touches don't stop in the public areas, each guest room has a comfortable feel with soft lighting, soft bedding, and bright, airy colors.
