As an east coast transplant currently living in Seattle, John enjoys being active in nature, exploring new places, cultural outings, and road trips. As an architect, he identifies and develops creative design solutions to meet complex project goals.
With a background in psychology and anthropology, John believes architecture is the expression of regional built ideas and culture. For him, architecture is not just about meeting client needs, programmatic requirements, code nor built spaces but rather about creating places where people can identify themselves, interact, share, and build community and personal meaning.
Prior to working at Johnson Braund, John worked at various firms in NYC. He has worked on an array of project typologies ranging from single family homes, multi-residential & commercial mix use buildings, to schools, hotels, and large urban development projects in Asia.
Fun Fact: played flute in a Grammy Award winning high school band that performed at Carnegie Hall
