Jae Lee moved to Seattle in 2015 from Ann Arbor, Michigan where he attended the University of
Michigan for both his undergraduate and graduate degrees in architecture. For much of his graduate
school education he focused on designing using a design theory called Object Oriented Ontology, which
emphasizes the use of abstract objects, to create eccentric forms and textures to understand its
potential application to architectural design. During his time at Johnson Braund, he has been involved in
housing and new‐build hospitality projects. In his spare time, he enjoys drawing and digital painting in
Fun Fact: Jae played flute in a Grammy Award winning high school band that performed at Carnegie Hall
and all around the world.
