Arrowhead Gardens is the Senior Housing Assistance Group's (SHAG) most ambitious project to date, providing 449 affordable for-rent housing units for independent seniors in a campus setting. Two residential buildings & a mixed-use residential building are sited around the Village Center and extensive landscaped courtyards. The Village Center serves as the heart of the community with 14,982 square feet providing a large variety of community gathering spaces including: a central two story great room with fireplace, community room with kitchen, media room, craft room, computer room, exercise room and large outdoor terrace, as well as administrative offices and units for on-site managers. The large landscaped courtyards provide a variety of opportunities for outdoor gathering, pea patch gardening, public art and walking trails in a secure setting. The extensive gardens throughout the campus utilize rain harvesting for irrigation, as well as for decorative water features. Parking for residents is provided in secure below grade parking garages under each building.
